We currently have a handful of ways to keep you informed and to hear what you have to say.
PTA General Membership Meetings (3x Year)
Don’t miss our PTA General Membership meetings. This where we discuss and vote on topics such as budget spending, PTA programs, and advocacy issues. Our principal typically speaks at every meeting – this is a great way to get “inside information”. Meetings are typically held in the evenings – for specific meeting dates, location and times, please check the Events calendar
PTA Board Meetings (Monthly)
Please feel free to join us at our monthly PTA Board meetings. You do not have to be a member of the board to attend! Our Board meetings are held on the 3rd Tuesday of each month at 9:15AM. For meeting dates, location & times please check the Events calendar
PTA & Parent Communications
For the rest of the year, our favorite ways of reaching out, keeping you informed and hearing from you are:
- Click here to sign up to receive our monthly Bobcat newsletter. Our newsletter is critical to how we connect with our McKitrick community on important updates about upcoming school events & more!
- Like us on Facebook
- Follow us on Twitter We also suggest following @McKitrickElem; @mckitrickmedia; @cline_allison and see if your student’s classroom has a twitter as well. You can also follow @HillsboroughSch
- Click here to join the Homeroom Parent Network. Each classroom will have 1 or 2 homeroom parent volunteers whose job is to support teacher needs that arise during the school year. Please complete this form to provide your contact information to your child’s homeroom teacher. The homeroom parent will use this information to communicate PTA and teacher-specific information during the year.
- Save as favorite the Yvonne McKitrick Elementary School site. The school maintains its own website for school/administration-specific information such as student calendar updates, lunch menus and other important school events on campus. Also if you “Click on” Resources you can access the Media Center website. **Don’t forget! You’ll ALWAYS need your valid photo I.D. with you to be on campus.
